STRIKING ARCHITECTURE

The enormous and beautiful spiral staircase adorning the foyer of Per Aarsleff's new office building in Viby, Denmark, is an example of a "true" Hi-Con project.

What initially seemed like an impossible vision turned out to be achievable through the use of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) CRC. For Hi-Con, the task was an exciting challenge, providing the opportunity to combine unique knowledge with a unique product and thus make the impossible possible.

SPIRAL STAIRCASE IN ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE

In collaboration with the architectural firm Arkitema, Hi-Con has developed and constructed the spiral staircase in Per Aarsleff's new headquarters in Viby, which spans four floors.

The staircase is cast in light CRC i2® and consists of 26 stair elements and 113 form parts in 14 variants, each with its own production drawing.

The 26 elements are assembled on site with CRC i2® JointCast. The staircase is a spiral staircase with a step height of 173 mm and a step width of 1250 mm.
