A FUSION OF RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL SPACES

Frederiks Plads, centrally located in Aarhus, is expanding with an impressive high-rise building covering approximately 27,000 m2. This high-rise marks the final phase of Frederiks Plads' eight buildings, which have been under construction since 2013, representing over 10 years of effort. The upcoming high-rise will feature classic, light yellow brick facades that harmonize with both the existing buildings on the square and the surrounding structures.

The planned high-rise at Frederiks Plads will consist of 222 private apartments, 16 public housing units, and 8 commercial leases. Residents will enjoy a stunning view of the city and the square from their balconies.

The project is certified to DGNB Gold, with a focus on aspects such as social sustainability, CO2 emission reduction, principles of circular construction, and the promotion of biodiversity.

Hi-Con is now proud to announce that we will be delivering balconies, stairs, and wall elements in Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) to Frederiks Plads.

PROJECT DETAILS

For the project, Hi-Con will deliver 72 brick balconies, 54 flat balconies, 8 balcony walkway elements, and 52 double-height wall panels in UHPC CRC i2. Additionally, we will also provide 131 stairs, likely in our third generation of UHPC, CRC i3, and in a new and exciting design.

The stairs for Frederiks Plads will feature an entirely new, sleek design. They are far more standardized than the typical stairs delivered by Hi-Con, being both cost-effective and elegant. We look forward to sharing more details about the stairs soon.
