NEW LIFE FOR FOLK HIGH SCHOOL!

The old folk high school in Roskilde, Denmark has been vacant since around 2007, so it needed new life.

This has resulted in a comprehensive renovation of the high school into residences, which will help to revitalize the area.

The project consists of a group of independent buildings with the high school building at the center. The high school building will be renovated as much as possible and converted into a new community center.

The independent buildings consist of townhouses, tower blocks, and triplet houses. The high-rise buildings will have approximately 64 apartments, the townhouses around 50, and the triplet houses located at Frederiksborgvej will have about 32 apartments. The triplet houses and tower blocks will also include underground parking, where possible, to preserve the park experience.

It is the intention of the developer and architects to preserve the park area as much as possible, and therefore, the existing trees will remain in their current locations as far as possible. Additionally, there are plans to plant deciduous trees west of the high school building. The residences are designed to blend naturally into the area, thereby preserving the park experience.
