THE RENOVATION PROJECT HIGH PARK

The former ING office, designed by the architectural firm Broekbakema, was built in 1968. This striking and unavoidable building in Arnhem, Netherlands, has been transformed into 281 apartments. The building now includes everything from penthouse apartments and condominiums to new rental units, all of which were completed in 2020.

From the beginning of the project, Hi-Con has been in close collaboration with Balkonfabriek, Klokgroup, Borghese Real Estate, and Powerhouse Company Architecture to shape this exciting renovation project – from engineering and production to advising on the suspension construction and railings.

A beautiful and empty office building has been given new life, and thanks to the low weight of the balconies, it was possible to create spacious outdoor areas for all the new residents of the transformed building – something that would not have been possible with traditional concrete balconies.
