CANTILEVERED BALCONIES

Hi-Con Netherlands has supplied the balconies for the senior housing in Bilthoven. The balconies combine minimalist design with high functionality.

The balconies are cast in Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) CRC i2®, whose unique properties allow for thin casting while maintaining extreme durability.

The project won the Dutch Concrete Award in 2013, with the justification being that the building demonstrates the possibility of combining good architecture with new technology.
