MINIMAL MATERIAL USAGE AND SHORT CONSTRUCTION TIME

After a successful first collaboration in Hoflandstraat, the Pijnacker-Nootdorp municipality in the Netherlands decided to order an additional 8 ultra-slim new bicycle and pedestrian bridges using our Delft UHPC Bridge System. This decision was based on the advantages of a short construction time, a lifespan of over 100 years, and maintenance-free characteristics. Additionally, the municipality supports minimal use of materials.

CRC i3® - THIRD GENERATION OF OUR ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE

With a thickness of only 8.5 cm, the bridge deck in CRC i3® ultra high performance concrete is exceptionally slim.

As with the Catharina van Rennespad bridge in Amersfoort, the UHPC wear layer is integrated into the deck. Other notable features include the absence of visible cross beams under the bridge deck and the beautifully detailed steel railing design.

The modular, removable UHPC deck plates are 3.4 meters wide and 1.5 meters long, mounted on two steel beams with a maximum span of 14 meters without intermediate support.
