MEIDOORNLAAN BICYCLE BRIDGE IN NOOTDORP

FROM SHOW MODEL TO INSTALLATION IN A BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE

For the Infratech fair in 2017, Hi-Con designed and produced a show model of an ultra-slim cycling bridge in Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC). One of the visitors to this fair was the Pijnacker-Nootdorp Municipality from the Netherlands. The municipality liked the bridge so much that it purchased the show model and had it installed at the beginning of 2018 at a beautiful location on Meidoornlaan in Nootdorp.

HI-CON DELIVERS EXTREMELY THIN BRIDGE IN UHPC

The deck of this custom-made cycling bridge in UHPC CRC i3® is only 40 mm thick at the ends. A black UHPC wear layer is integrated into the deck, giving it the same indestructible strong properties as the base material itself. Replacement of the wear layer is therefore not necessary in the long term.
