NEW LIFE WITH CONCEPT BALCONIES

Located in the northwestern part of Risskov in Aarhus, Denmark, the new and attractive neighborhood, Risskov Engby, offers modern homes and green communal areas. Previously an old industrial area, it has now been replaced with a variety of residences, institutions, shopping facilities, sports facilities, and businesses, making it a popular choice for those who wish to live in a scenic area close to Aarhus city center. Risskov Engby emphasizes green communal areas and beautiful brick architecture, with the environment being central to the design.

For the large 16,000 m2 residential construction, Hi-Con has supplied 169 concept balconies in Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC). The 169 balconies were delivered in 4 different types:

Type 1: 97 elements, size 1.75 x 2.75 m
Type 2: 68 elements, size 1.50 x 2.75 m
Type 3: 3 elements, size 1.50 x 4.50 m
Type 4: 1 element, size 1.75 x 2.75 m

All balconies were delivered in grey CRC with surface G2 and a slab thickness of 92 mm. They were also manufactured with water channels and equipped with galvanized railings.

CONCEPT BALCONIES IN ULTRA HIGH PERFORMANCE CONCRETE

Our concept balconies are the first standardized solution in UHPC in Denmark. The balconies are produced in UHPC CRC i2 and are designed to be slim, competitive, strong, and durable. When you choose our concept balconies, you get the same material properties as our custom balcony solutions. REDUCED CO2 EMISSIONS

When you choose Hi-Con's concept balconies, you achieve a CO2 savings of over 20% compared to steel balconies. Additionally, less material is used in the production of UHPC balconies because they can be cast so thin. This makes it a solution well-suited for projects with a focus on the environment.
